My first yoga experience was with an Eric Schiffmann and Ally McGraw DVD and I have been hooked ever since! My regular yoga practice helped me manage long-term PTSD and the lingering anxiety associated with it. I have practiced several different styles of yoga, including Kripalu and Bikram, but lean towards a more mindful, alignment based Vinyasa.
I completed the Kids Yoga Training in 2009, at Yoga Haven and am a graduate of the Quest Yoga Arts training program, where I studied under Wendy Hagen, ERYT 500 hour and Laura Jensen, ERYT 200 hour. More recently I completed Restorative Teacher Training under Cyndi Lee through Yoga International.
I am still active in the corporate world and have found a way to integrate yoga into the workplace. By doing so, employees benefit from taking regular breaks, while reducing stress and anxiety levels. Since yoga helps to increase productivity and promote a healthy work/life balance, this is a “win/win” for everyone. I have introduced yoga to various youth organizations and donated time to teach at several schools. I work with people of all levels of ability & ages. My specialties include teaching adolescents/teens, as well as designing intimate small group and private classes.
My mission is to create a safe and friendly community where everyone can explore the healing power of yoga, without judgement.....where individuals come to reach new levels of personal and spiritual development; while finding their own state of balance, inner peace, joy and light.
