How are treatments done?

Receiving Reiki is a simple process. You relax, fully clothed, on a treatment table (removing only bulky jewelry & shoes). The practitioner might guide you through a light breathing and/or visualization exercise. Then they will gently place their hands on or above you in a series of positions, including your head, torso and legs. Each hand position is held for a few minutes and some may be repeated if the practitioner detects a need for additional work in that area.

A treatment can feel like warm, glowing radiance that flows through and around you. The energy goes wherever it’s required and reaches the ‘whole’ person - body, mind, emotions and spirit. You may experience heat from the practitioner’s hands, tingling, a feeling of floating, or even seeing colors while eyes are closed. Even if none of these things happen, Reiki still gives you what you need!

A single session will provide benefits for you, bringing a sense of calm, peacefulness and possibly producing some short-term physical impact.  However, the best results come through having a steady course of treatments over several weeks or months.  It’s recommended that you receive at least 3 - 5 sessions to appreciate the many positive benefits that Reiki has to offer.

Long-term imbalances within the body, mind and psyche typically require multiple treatments to reach the level of relaxation and release necessary to bring your systems back into alignment. 

The effects of Reiki build up cumulatively over time. Having treatments on a consistent basis helps to sustain balanced well-being and healing on many levels.  Reiki is  safe and nicely compliments all other forms of medical & holistic healing modalities used in physical, mental, emotional and spiritual self-care.

Understandably, the unexpected conflict is bound to come up and you might need to change or cancel an appointment with us. When that occurs, we request that you honor the following:

Any cancelation or date change requires a 24 hour notice; failure to do so may result in a charge of up to 100% of the scheduled service cost. Some adjustments may apply, based on case by case circumstances. This notice period also gives us enough time to schedule others who are waiting for openings in our busy calendars.
